Season’s Greetings!

Season’s Greetings!

Dear colleagues and friends,

An exciting year is about to come to an end. We are still facing challenging times including military conflicts, economic disparities and burdens, and effects of climate change. Many patients in the world lack adequate or timely medical care. We hope reason will prevail and we are hoping for a better and more peaceful 2024.

This time of year holds a special place in our hearts, as it reminds us of the values that define us as a community – friendship, compassion, and the joy of giving.

On behalf of the Hydrocephalus Society, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, compassion, and solidarity as well as with many exciting opportunities within our field.

Sincerely yours,

Mats Tullberg

President of the Hydrocephalus Society

Thank you all for Hydrocephalus 2023 Meeting!

Thank you all for Hydrocephalus 2023 Meeting!

Dear colleagues and friends,

Monday 28 August was the last day of Hydrocephalus 2023 and our annual meeting came to an end for another year.
More than 320 people from 39 countries attended our meeting in Hamburg, and it was truly inspiring to see so many scientists, researchers, professionals and students coming together to discuss, network and share information and experiences about hydrocephalus and related disorders.

Your presence helped to make this meeting a great success and your enthusiasm and positive spirit helped to make our time together both interesting and enjoyable.

Thank you for joining us in Hamburg and we look forward to welcoming you all next year in Japan!

Join the World Hydrocephalus Day!

Join the World Hydrocephalus Day!

Each year almost 400,000 children across the globe receive a diagnosis of hydrocephalus. Additionally, there is an estimated count of 8 million seniors worldwide with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), with a significant number remaining undiagnosed or deprived of the life-saving treatment they require.

Hydrocephalus presents a universal challenge, and it’s time that we unite to foster global awareness so we can show the world the importance of this life-threatening condition, and the need for better treatments.

World Hydrocephalus Day aims to shed light on this often-misunderstood condition and promote worldwide unity among patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and advocacy organizations. By fostering understanding and compassion, the day seeks to improve the lives of those affected by hydrocephalus.
