Dr. Giorgio Palandri is an Italian neurosurgeon specializing in hydrocephalus. Currently, he serves as a consultant neurosurgeon at the IRCCS Institute of Neurological Sciences of Bologna.
His academic foundation was established at the University of Verona, where he completed his neurosurgery residency with top honors. Additionally, he has enriched his experience with visiting clinician roles at the Mayo Clinic in the United States and Hôpital Lariboisière in Paris, France.
Dr. Palandri leads the Bologna Pro-Hydro Study, driving clinical research and advancements in diagnostics and treatment of hydrocephalus. His commitment to this field is further demonstrated through prominent roles within the Hydrocephalus Society, where he has served as President of the Xth World Meeting on Hydrocephalus and is currently the President-Elect. He is also actively involved with the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS), contributing to the organization’s CSF Section.
