He graduated from Gifu University in 1997, and began working as a neurosurgeon at Kyoto University Hospital in 1997.
He learned the basics of statistics and genetics at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine from 2001 to 2005.
He participated in a collaborative research initiative with the Laboratory of Computational Fluid Dynamics at the University of Tokyo Institute of Industrial Science in 2002 and attended the Centre National de Génotypage (the National Center of Human Genomics Research) in France in 2004, where he collaborated on the study of cerebral aneurysms and and identified the causative gene for familial cerebral aneurysm.
From 2013 to 2019, he worked at Rakuwakai Otowa hospital, he learned deeply about chronic adult hydrocephalus from Prof. Masatsune Ishikawa.
From 2019 to 2022, he worked as an assistant professor at the department of Neurosurgery, Shiga University of Medical Science.
Since October 2022, he has been working as a lecturer in the Department of Neurosurgery at Nagoya City University, where he promotes clinical research on hydrocephalus under Prof. Mitsuhito Mase.
In 2017, he started collaborating with Fujifilm Co., Ltd. for research on 3D/4D image analysis and with Digital Standard Co., Ltd. for research on 3D gait analysis. He participated in a joint research initiative between industry and academia and across the fields of medicine and engineering with many universities and industries.
